What we process. When you message Ruffie to join the waitlist, we process your phone number, the content of your messages, and the preferences you share with Ruffie (for example activity, pace, distance, area and availability).

Purpose and legal basis. We use this data solely to run the waitlist and, once matching opens, to introduce you to compatible people — the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Any optional details you share are processed based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Messaging services. Conversations with Ruffie run through Apple iMessage or WhatsApp (Meta Platforms). These providers process your messages under their own privacy policies and may transfer data outside the EU under their respective safeguards.

Hosting. This website is delivered via Cloudflare. For security and stability, technical server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) may be processed for a short period.

Cookies and tracking. This page sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools.

Sharing. Your contact details are never shown to other users. Introductions happen only after both sides have explicitly confirmed a match.

Retention. We keep your waitlist data until you leave the waitlist or ask us to delete it — simply message Ruffie "DELETE" or contact us at [email address].

Your rights. You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
